What You'll Be Doing
The Payroll Processor will be responsible for all payroll functions in regards to all full-time and part-time employees. The Payroll Processor follows established policies and procedures to ensure that employee compensation, benefits and deductions are accurate. A review is made of any filings made by the outside payroll service.
You will process payroll biweekly for multi-entity, multi-state, hourly and salary employees
Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
You will ensure that the calculation of earnings and deductions are accurate and completed in a timely manner, in compliance with Federal, State, local laws, employee contracts, and company policies
You will process payroll information associated with newly hired employees, terminated employees, withholding allowances, pay rate changes, status changes, benefit deductions, payroll garnishments and direct deposits. Determine pre-tax as well as post-tax deductions as prescribed by company benefit policies
You will respond to payroll inquiries and requests by management and other internal and external users of payroll data. Assist in research and troubleshoot payroll discrepancies and resolve any payroll related issues
You will review, verify and ensure proper accounting and accuracy for all payroll transactions, benefits, and accruals. Contact and resolve with payroll service any discrepancies and related questions
You will research stale uncashed payroll checks, setting up time frames according to state regulations for abandoned property, and the treatment of such items. Discuss with the Accounting Manager on best practices for tracking and reimbursing to the state uncashed payroll checks based on current regulations for stale uncashed checks
You will be responsible for producing reports to facilitate information as requested by management
You will perform special projects and other duties as assigned by the Payroll Manager

What You'll Bring to the Table:
3+ years with high volume payroll in a multi-state environment is required
Working knowledge of payroll best practices
Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations
Knowledge of payroll systems a must; Experience with Ultipro preferred
Must have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality and use discretion with sensitive matters
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and hands-on detail-oriented tasks
Able to demonstrate attention to detail and good record keeping
High School Diploma/GED
Knowledge and ability to use applicable information technology and systems to meet work needs
Ability to make timely, effective decisions with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Must have strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills to effectively deliver and influence others
Comfortable in a fast paced, high growth culture
