As our Director, Social Media & Reputation Management, you will direct and oversee Planet Fitness’ social media channels including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, etc. You will utilize your experience of overseeing corporate reputation management to drive success through data-driven decision making and developing and evaluating KPI’s. You will use your results-driven, self-starter mindset to deliver a holistic content engagement model through innovation and strategic leveraging.
To be successful in this role, you will have a passion for driving a positive, health and wellness experience, both nationally and locally. You will be a collaborative leader with the ability to deliver exceptional brand leadership to internal and external partners across the organization, as well as Planet Fitness’ paid and owned channels.
As our Director, you will partner with multiple teams within the organization to create, deliver, and uphold Planet Fitness social media & reputation success. You will be committed to an integrated messaging approach across all social media platforms, driving a consistent member experience while enhancing value to the member.
In this role you will:
Direct and oversee our Social Media & Reputation Management Program, delivering outstanding results, without compromising Planet Fitness brand standards.
Develop social and community strategies, across all social channels, for Planet Fitness’ national marketing team, by continually eliminating the barriers in fitness through differentiated content experiences.
Create and maintain a social strategy and calendar, across all social platforms, that supports the Planet Fitness brand and is effectively tailored to both National and Local needs. Cultivate a creative development for promotions, evergreen, and brand campaigns.
Collaborate across stakeholders and platforms, nationally and internationally, to ensure the Planet Fitness social content strategy is efficient, integrated, and consistent.
Deliver and develop a holistic content engagement model that spans across social media platforms, leading innovation and strategically leveraging paid influencers and Planet Fitness owned assets.
Manage social channel infrastructure and permissions to fit the needs of Planet Fitness’ national and local franchisees while protecting the security and integrity of the program.
Develop KPIs to track and hold the Social and Reputation Management Team and partners accountable for driving success.
Partner with the Director of Digital Communications to integrate social into Planet Fitness owned channels and local community programs, while working with the PFHQ Digital Team ensuring consistency and collaboration across all paid and PF owned channels.
Team up with our Marketing and Social Media Planning teams to ensure support, collaboration, and integration with Planet Fitness’ national and local teams.
Ensure that our content and a focus on positive, health and wellness experiences continually resonate with club members.
Produce and distribute consistent trainings and resources, both internally and externally, on ever-evolving social and community updates.
Elevate the role of PF Ambassadors by influencing our internal trainer-network via social channels.

About You:
Bachelor’s degree, with a concentration in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Master’s degree, preferred
10+ years of related experience in the digital/social marketing space including strong experience overseeing corporate reputation management
5+ years of experience leading and mentoring a team
Demonstrated leadership, indicating earned respect and trust in your relationships among all levels of a business, both internally and externally
Expertise in the professional, business use of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, etc.)
Robust knowledge of website content publishing software
Excellent reputation of leading effective initiatives, for both business purposes and public relations, using influential storytelling, marketing, and social media
Proven abilities in data-driven decision making, developing, and evaluating KPI's
Demonstrated commitment to issues of DEI and social justice
Possess awareness and bring forth the best practices in the importance of social media’s ever-evolving nature
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
Possess a results-driven, self-starter mindset, demonstrating initiative and creativity
Extremely detail-oriented, efficient, and organized with an exceptional ability to establish priorities and objectives
