    Planet Fitness World Headquarters is searching for an Area Marketing Manager to join our team!

    As our Area Marketing Manager, you will act as main point of contact for Planet Fitness franchise clubs as it relates to their marketing needs. You will collaborate in the creation, development, and execution of all marketing strategies and materials as they apply to franchise clubs as well as the overall brand and image of Planet Fitness.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Act as the main point of contact for the Marketing Department between the Franchisees and PFHQ.

    Meet with franchisees to assist in developing their marketing strategy from a hyper-local and/or co-op perspective.

    Manage and communicate with Planet Fitness franchisees/marketing team on an ongoing basis in the forms of emails, calls, and/or face-to-face meetings.

    Participate in franchisee marketing co-ops. This includes establishing them with the franchisees, developing RFPs for local agency searches, attending ongoing co-op meetings and helping facilitate full-year planning sessions.

    Discuss, review and approve pre-sale and grand opening launch plans. This includes collecting timelines and flowcharts outlining plan as well as spends and providing strategic feedback. Monitor pre-sale/open club performance and maintain ongoing communication with your main point of contact for that ownership group. In some cases, travel to Grand Opening events may be required.

    Create short and long term marketing plans, taking into account the national promotional calendar, specific club demographics, competition, seasonality, etc. Make recommendations based on data analysis. Work with ownership group and/or their local agency to research all marketing mediums to support the plan including but not limited to TV, radio, digital, OOH, direct and shared mail, human marketing, and guerilla tactics.

    Review and approve all local marketing materials to ensure they meet brand standards.

    Act as liaison between franchisees and the PFHQ approved marketing vendors (i.e. Direct Mail, Media Buying and Digital Marketing agencies,).

    Responsible for working with franchisees and appropriate PFHQ team members to review/approve any local partnerships, integrations, etc. Work with PR Department to assist with local franchise communications, such as letters to members of specific clubs during crisis situations (fire, flood, etc.) or press releases as well as coordinating PR for local grand openings, club remodels, member triumphs, etc.

    Monitor local club pages on website. This will include ensuring appropriate online offers are live as well as reviewing/approving submitted local content.

    Participate and assist in the PF Annual Franchisee Conference.

    Qualifications/Skills:

    Bachelor’s Degree (preferred concentration in Marketing).

    Experience in media buying and understanding of TV DMA’s.

    Agency experience and Account Service experience preferred.

    Experience in franchising preferred.

    Excellent written and verbal communication.

    PF Club experience (preferred).

    Capability to multi-task in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

    Ability to analyze data and apply findings accordingly.

    Strong organizational and project management capabilities.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
