Planet Fitness World Headquarters is searching for a Manager, Corporate Club Construction to join our team!

As a key member of the Corporate Club Construction Team, the Corporate Club Construction Manager is directly responsible for completion of development and construction projects. In this role, you will oversee work flows, capital budgets and foster relationships to ensure quality and timely completion of construction projects. This role partners with internal Operations, Design and Real Estate teams as well as external Architects, General Contractors and vendors.

Your Contributions:

Oversee ongoing construction and planning process through collaborating with architects, engineers, general contractors and vendors with the goal of hitting milestone dates and budgeted spend.

Prepare scopes of work, bidding/negotiations and construction schedules.

Manage milestones and bring appropriate resources to challenges that impact the construction completion schedule.

Hold contractors accountable to deliver quality work while maintaining targeted completion dates and capital spend.

Ensure that the permitting process is in place to achieve targeted deadlines.

Work with project managers to ensure drawing specs are followed and updated as the design evolves.

Create purchase requisitions and distribute purchase orders for all owner-supplied items.

Prepare bid lists and packages for General Contractors, and manage RFIs and shop drawing approvals.

Develop and maintain timely and accurate construction status updates and schedules for internal and external stakeholders.

Review vendor quotes for all materials to ensure correct quantity and specs are ordered.

Provide expertise and consultation regarding replacement and needed repairs.

Perform site visits throughout construction process to ensure clubs are being built to specification, including punch list walk through.

Qualifications/Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction or related field.

5-8 years of hands-on construction management experience for a multi-unit retail corporation (Big box, fitness clubs or retail stores).

Extensive experience with on-site, ground-up construction, managing complex projects simultaneously.

Proven experience managing general contractors and working with project managers, subcontractors and vendors.

Strong experience in the RFP and bidding process - reviewing and negotiating contractual terms and conditions.

Experience partnering with real estate, store design, operations, and IT teams to execute plans and meet business objectives.

Proven experience managing capital budgets with an understanding of finance and accounting principles.

Thorough understanding of construction codes and working knowledge of all trades and OSHA safety requirements.

Excellent project management skills, including demonstrated ability to manage a project, plan and establish priorities and work within deadlines and budgets.

Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and solve problems.

Superior organizational and time management skills including ability to perform multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills and ability to think creatively.

Ability to travel up to 60% to PF locations across the U.S.
