The PF Headquarters Marketing team is searching for an International Senior Marketing Manager.

    About the Role: As our International Senior Marketing Manager you will act as the main point of contact for Planet Fitness franchisees and their franchisee marketing contacts internationally as it relates to their marketing needs. In this role, you will collaborate in the creation, development, and execution of all national and local marketing strategies, media plans, and creative materials as they apply to franchise clubs as well as the overall brand and image of Planet Fitness. You will also support our international clubs where needed and will liaise with our Development team on international business planning.

    The right candidate for this role will be bi-lingual in both English and Spanish, including written and spoken fluency. Additional fluency in other languages is desired. The right candidate will also hold a valid and up-to-date passport, will be willing and able to travel internationally, and must be comfortable navigating foreign cultures and working with multi-national teams.

    In this role you will:

    Build relationships with the franchisees and their marketing team members as their primary point of contact.

    Assist in new country entry process and strategy, including but not limited to, localizing the brand to meet the market needs including local value proposition, messaging, recommendations for brand launch and ongoing marketing spend requirements, and launch tactics.

    Assist with identifying and evaluating in market vendors with local franchisees to assess as an approved marketing vendor.

    Ability to creatively problem solve. Will need to bridge the gap between international requests and what is doable to be executed within plan (prioritization).

    Work with national agency (when applicable) to build out marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness and consideration including paid media and sponsorships/partnerships.

    Responsible for internal communication with HQ Brand Marketing team to ensure appropriate assets are developed for national and local use in international markets where we control the national advertising fund. For markets that all marketing spend is controlled locally, responsible for engaging with the in-market agencies and franchisees on all assets being developed to ensure visibility for review, feedback and approval of all assets utilizing brand trademarks to ensure they are following brand guidelines.

    Collaborate with local agency and franchisee to create short- and long-term marketing plans, according to the national sales calendar, specific club locations, competition, seasonality, etc. Make recommendations based on data analysis and historical plans and performance – plans include marketing mediums, including but not limited to, TV, radio, social, digital, OOH, direct and shared mail, guerilla tactics, etc. This includes new and existing clubs to drive growth.

    Provide strategic recommendations to franchisees/co-op/region based on performance analysis.

    Manage and communicate with Planet Fitness franchisees/marketing contacts daily via email, calls, and/or face-to-face meetings.

    Travel to markets at least once a year to meet with local franchisee and their agencies. Act as liaison between franchisees and the corporate approved marketing vendors (i.e. local media agencies).

    Responsible for ensuring that the brand is appropriately represented in any media integrations, including local media and sports sponsorships.

    Work with PR Director to assist with local franchise communications and brand launches, such as letters to members of specific clubs during crisis situations (fire, flood, etc.) or press releases as well as coordinating PR for local grand openings, club remodels, member triumphs, co-op sponsorships, etc.

    Coordinate closely with Franchise Business Coaches (Club Operations) in your region for on-the-ground knowledge, operation integrations with marketing, and in-club extensions of marketing efforts.

    About You:

    Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field

    Bi-lingual in Spanish and English, including written and spoken, is required, and fluency in additional languages is desired

    Must hold a valid and up-to-date passport, required

    Must be comfortable navigating foreign cultures and working with multi-national teams

    5 years’ experience in account service and traditional and digital media buying is required, and an understanding of TV DMAs is preferred

    International experience, required

    Agency experience, preferred

    Experience in franchising, preferred

    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

    Experience with data analysis tools

    Ability to analyze data and apply findings accordingly

    Excellent problem resolution skills with a creative, solution-oriented mindset

    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

    Strong organizational and project management capabilities

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Exhibits confidence, flexibility, and ease working in an extremely fast-paced, ever-changing, deadline-driven environment
