Planet Fitness World Headquarters is searching for a Financial Analyst to join our team!
As a Financial Analyst, working in the Financial Planning and Analysis department, you will be responsible for supporting the business with reporting, planning and analysis of key revenue streams. You’ll provide the critical analysis and insights of drivers of revenue and same store sales. The ability to maintain and develop processes in support of departmental and/or company objectives as well as financial modeling, reporting and planning tools, is essential for this role. By analyzing trends, key performance measures and financial results, you will identify and define opportunities to improve performance and positively impact results.
Your Contributions:
Perform detailed analytics for the recurring revenue streams and same store sales calculations.
Maintain and improve complex forecasting models and methodology by reviewing historical trends and analyzing drivers.
Develop new forecast models and methodology using advanced technical and analytical methods.
Gather, organize and analyze data from various sources to facilitate the review of revenue and same store sales performance, including Business Intelligence, ERP and Cloud Based Software.
Perform large-scale data analysis to provide valuable data driven insight to facilitate business decision making.
Work collaboratively with the business to support the development and preparation of budgets, forecasts and long-range plans.
Provide variance analysis explanations to leadership on financial and KPI performance versus budget, forecast and prior year.
Assist with the consolidation of financial results for the company’s quarterly results, budgets, forecasts and long-range plans.
Execute ad-hoc analytic requests, database queries, and report generation as needed.
Assist with the support of the company-wide effort of developing and implementing various financial and operational software initiatives.
Identify and resolve data inconsistencies within internal reporting databases and reporting platforms.
Qualifications/Skills:
BS in Business, Finance or related data-focused field.
1-3 years’ overall experience with business, finance, or analytics-focused environment; experience in an analytical role within a consumer-facing brand a plus.
Strong data analysis skills required. Financial reporting and/or modeling experience.
Retail experience a plus, but not required.
Understanding of financial statements.
Experience working with large data sets.
Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
Cognos BI, Cognos TM1, Hyperion Essbase or comparable experience preferred.
Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work proactively, independently and in a team environment.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with and effectively communicate cross functionally and with upper management.
High attention to detail with an eagerness to review and analyze data
Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
