    Planet Fitness World Headquarters is searching for a Junior Attorney to join our growing legal team! The ideal candidate will possess exceptional research, analytical and communication skills and demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow within the department. As our Junior Attorney, you will primarily support Senior Attorneys and work to develop competence and/or expertise in the following areas: franchise, securities, corporate governance, employment, litigation, real estate, contracts and intellectual property law. You will also work directly with a variety of business units, impacting important business decisions for the Company on a daily basis.

    Your Contributions:

    Conduct legal research, provide advice and present recommendations on various legal and business issues.

    Review, draft, negotiate, manage and advise on a wide variety of contracts, including franchise agreements, complex strategic partnerships, service agreements, licensing agreements, commercial vendor contracts and non-disclosure agreements.

    Review, negotiate and advise on commercial leases for corporate-owned and franchisee store locations and various other real estate matters.

    Draft, review and update company policies and procedures necessary to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.

    Review and revise advertising, public relations and marketing materials and advise on related issues.

    Communicate and negotiate with external parties (outside counsel, opposing counsel, franchisee counsel, etc.), creating professional relations of trust.

    Attend and provide legal advice at cross-departmental meetings.

    Keep abreast of current industry legislation and regulations potentially impacting the business.

    Qualifications/Skills:

    Bachelor’s Degree and Law Degree from accredited institutions required.

    1-3 years of legal experience working for a mid to large law firm preferred.

    Ability to prioritize and manage a diverse workload.

    Experience with contract drafting, review and negotiation.

    Excellent legal research skills.

    Highly organized self-starter with the ability to coordinate and follow up on multiple priorities, ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

    Ability to communicate effectively and maintain good relationships with internal and external clients.

    Compensation:

    Approximately $80,000 base salary plus 10% bonus.
