    Our Job Opening:

    Planet Fitness World Headquarters, based in New Hampshire, is searching for a Director of Operations for the Western U.S Region. In this field role you will be responsible for providing support, consultation and insight to franchisees in order to grow the business and maximize profitability. He/She will be responsible for the oversight of franchisee relationships and store portfolio management. This involves a focus on increasing overall store performance and Owner profitability, improving the member experience, ensuring brand excellence and supporting the growth of franchise markets in the West.

    The Director of Operations will lead a team consisting of Area Managers, Brand Excellence and New Store Development professionals and will work in conjunction with all business units at PF to execute regional improvement plans and support the growth of the franchise markets in the region.

    Your Contributions:

    Manage and oversee the growth of franchise markets by successfully executing action plans related to business objectives, tactical initiatives and owner profitability.

    Collaborate with franchise owners to develop and maximize results, providing guidance and counsel in setting and achieving sales and profitability goals and continuously improving operational effectiveness.

    Utilize reporting and tracking tools to monitor and analyze results, identify trends and provide analysis and recommendations on corrective action.

    Support franchise owners in relation to PF’s brand excellence standards. Oversee the Brand Excellence team to ensure compliance with all company standards, franchise model and brand standards.

    Interact with internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Member Services, Training, Real Estate and Development, Legal and Finance) to ensure deliverables are being met.

    Support franchise owners with the planning and execution of New Club Openings, working collaboratively with development team.

    Analyze training and development opportunities, determining strategic training solutions that support our franchise operations. Provide timely, constructive feedback for performance improvement.

    Plan, lead and execute Regional support team’s performance improvement plans for underperforming stores and markets, ensuring communication plans are established and documented.

    Provide leadership and mentoring to staff to further the creation of a continuous learning environment and an organization that seeks excellence.

    Proactively support employee development; create effective succession plan program to support personal development of employees.

    Your Proven Track Record:

    10+ years in a regional operations leadership role.

    Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

    Previous experience working in a franchise organization.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Multi-tiered functional leadership experience required.

    Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Suite).

    Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.

    Strong project, planning and time management skills.

    Able to travel 100% as this is a field based position.
