We're looking for an energetic Swim Instructor who enjoys working with children of ages 12 months and older, and is willing to go above and beyond to help our swimmers learn and progress through our teaching curriculum. We provide in-house paid training so previous teaching experience is preferred but not required. Qualifications: - 18 years and older - past Swimming experience Duties and Responsibilities: - Instructs swimming lessons based on Planet Swim's Teaching Curriculum - Capable of teaching Group, Semi-Private, and Private Swim Lessons - Capable of evaluating swimmer's progress - Creates an educational, safe and inviting experience for all participants - Initiates, develops and maintains positive relationships with customers - Quickly, efficiently and professionally responds to customer questions, comments and concerns - Provides a safe, clean and organized pool area - Maintains order and safety in and around swimming areas, and assists in enforcing Planet Swim's rules, procedures and policies Certifications: - Red Cross CPR-PR/AED - Complete Planet Swim Instructor Training Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and other Characteristics: - Excellent customer service and social skills - Energetic, enthusiastic, patient and motivational - Passionated about Swimming and working with children (mostly) - Ability to solve problems quickly and professionally - Ability to enforce Planet Swim's rules, policies and procedures - Ability to acknowledge difficult or unsafe situations and respond accordingly - Ability to multi-task and learn quickly - Driven, reliable, responsible and dedicated Benefits: - Free or discounted memberships offered by Planet Swim Compensation: - $12-$18/hour depending on experience Job Type: Part-time
