We are looking for a skilled Customer Retention Marketing Manager who is an innovative thinker and who will manage all customer retention activities for our ecommerce stores, both in the US and in the UK. As a Customer Retention Marketing Manager, you will have responsibility for understanding consumer behavior through analytics, developing strategies to drive repeat purchasing and increase customer lifetime value, and implementing campaigns to increase consumer engagement. You will be a self-starter who will manage email and SMS texting strategies and campaigns, direct mail, loyalty programs, promotional content, and other strategies to increase customer retention and sales.
This role reports to the VP of Marketing.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Email, SMS Text, Direct Mail, Loyalty and other Retention Programs
- Oversee and optimize email and SMS text campaign strategies to drive customer retention and sales, including lifecycle emails, personalized triggers, promotional campaigns, and content emails
- Develop the promotional calendar, write creative briefs for email campaigns, work with Design to create the campaigns, and manage our email and SMS texting software to deliver the campaigns on iseeme.com (US), iseeme.com (UK) and bookofus.com
- Define and implement the testing agenda for email and SMS texting including segmentation, messaging, frequency, send day/time, personalization, etc.
- Provide regular reporting and analysis of email and SMS text campaign key metrics
- Develop strategies for direct mail campaigns and oversee implementation; provide insights on the ROI of direct mail campaigns
- Develop and implement a new loyalty program for iseeme.com and bookofus.com
- Maintain, publish and optimize regular reports that track channel and customer-level performance
- Translate reporting insights into recommendations for how to drive sales and increase customer performance and LTV.
- Develop new segmentation and targeting strategies based on customer data and business needs
- Identify industry trends and best practices by attending ecommerce/marketing trade shows and monitoring other e-retailer retention strategies

REQUIREMENTS
- BA/BS required
- 3-5 years of customer retention and digital marketing experience, having a deep knowledge base of email marketing and analyzing customer LTV, preferably in the e-commerce industry
- Strong analytical skills and proven track record of turning insights into actionable plans
- Solid understanding of the retail, e-commerce and email marketing industries and KPIs
- Ability to react to changing business needs by modifying plans and adjusting deliverables efficiently
- Strong project management skills managing deadlines, calendars and data needs
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to react to shifting priorities and manage multiple projects at once
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Team player with ability to build relationships to achieve team goals
- Experience with Google Analytics
