We are distributed across multiple offices with more than 500 employees, primarily in
Calabasas (Southern California), San Diego, Woodridge (Chicago), Louisville and
Pleasanton (Bay Area). We also have team members in two company-owned offices in
China, as well as in Europe.
OVERVIEW
Are you a dynamic HR professional who can juggle varied duties while making it look
easy? Our Vice-President of Human Resources must be comfortable in an advisory role
as well as in all HR functions on both operational and strategic levels. You will provide
invaluable insight and assistance to leadership in aligning organizational goals with our
teams capabilities to ensure success in everything we do. We will look to you to

The Vice-President of Human Resources is a member of our senior leadership team and
has a seat at the table. This position reports to our CEO with a "dotted line" to our
general counsel and works closely to support our senior leadership team and department
heads, as well as all levels of employees within our organization. We are looking for

WHAT YOULL DO
Lead your team in developing recruiting strategies to attract the best and the brightest.
Act as the face of HR by representing company culture, philosophies and priorities.
Develop and implement HR strategy that is aligned with the goals of the business.
Oversee and advise on the companys employee benefits program. Act as an Agent of Change in our growth-oriented culture. Ensure compliance with federal and state laws as well as internal policies, including being a member of the OSHA team for our manufacturing facilities.
Create dashboards for critical information such as reports on turnover, cost per hire, training hours per person, etc. Ensure data accuracy and leverage
information to create deep insights and facilitate decisions.
Create and advise on policies that make sense for our culture and continually improve upon our framework.
Drive talent strategy, including being an advocate for performance appraisals, coaching and personal development.
Develop employee engagement programs. Aid in navigating COVID times with policies and programs that address the health and wellness of our team and allow us to continue in-person interaction.
Oversee the companys payroll process. Direct a team of facilities managers. Work alongside the companys general counsel in defending occasional labor actions.
Support senior leadership with organizational change-management projects, communications, and transition plans.
Serve as a point of escalation on all performance issues or complaints in a legally compliant and professional way.
Act as both an employee advocate and business advisor while making sound decisions.
Other duties as assigned from time to time REQUIREMENTS
WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE
Previous experience in a true HR generalist position; must have knowledge in areas ranging from employee benefits and 401k plan administration to HR design
and compliance.
Minimum 7 years in senior HR roles in California companies with office-based staff.
Previous experience with seasonal/flex staffing is a crucial requirement. Ability to work with everyone in a collaborative and solutions-focused manner to achieve win-win outcomes.
Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing conditions and generate effective and pragmatic solutions for new situations and problems as they are presented.
Must be able to inspire confidence in senior leadership and other managers through timely delivery of information and plans, working independently of senior
leadership but consulting when appropriate.
Familiarity with best practices for people processes and experience in coaching managers through these processes and leading these practices, when
necessary.
Must be business savvy and have an overall understanding of company finances and how to use this information to support managers in their decision making.
Effectively plan ahead to anticipate problems, planning for worst-case and bestcase scenarios. Must have exceptional attention to detail. Must have a sense of humor (this is a fun place to work!) and ability to roll with the punches
