YOUR ROLE AT CLOROX:
The Demand Analyst is responsible for creating and maintaining the demand plan and supporting forecasting activities associated with customers and products of a limited portfolio within a Business Unit.The Demand Analyst is also be responsible for maintaining reporting and analytics for the Demand Planning discipline.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
DEMAND PLANNING (60%):
This position will ensure that the demand plans use appropriate statistical models, incorporate business intelligence and forecast information from sales, marketing, finance, advanced analytics, and other sources. Responsible for balancing the demand plan to ensure it fully supports both the business and the Product Supply strategies through S&OP.
DEMAND ANALYTICS (40%):
The position will also support the Demand Planning Discipline by maintaining reports related to Demand Planning. Some of these reports include
Performance tracking across BU, Customer and Product family
Forecast accuracy tracking for Bias and Accuracy
Maintain and support other monthly reports (data process pull and validation).
Review system data setting/assumptions to support ML/Statistical forecast.
Work with the team across different ad hoc analytics project.
Incorporate available consumption data into the S&OP process to allow the team to compare forecast and consumption down to the customer SKU level.
Demand Candidates are expected to:
Create/Review/Validate Demand Signal for rolling 24 month horizon
Analyze and update SKU Level demand signal based on trends, alerts, models, assumption changes, inputs, etc. of less complex brand or portfolio.
Calculate statistical baseline forecast
Adjust signal for New Products, Rollovers, and/or Discontinued items
Ensure unconstrained demand plan is accurately entered into Rapid Response
Proactively communicate critical changes to downstream supply chain partners
Accountable for Demand Planning KPIs within assigned portfolio
Support S&OP process for your assigned portfolio of products
Pull prior month data sets
Gather and collate cross functional inputs
Prepare reports and graphs for eS&OP meetings
Participate in multiple eS&OP process meetings each month with the goal of gaining alignment on consensus demand for assigned portfolio
Work with Sr. Demand Planner on roll-up of portfolio into full SBU forecast
Change Management
Identify areas of improvement in reporting/analytics across the Demand Planning discipline.
Search for potential solutions both internally and externally
Present recommendations
Collaborate with team to implement process improvements
Adopt new tools to improve process and KPI results
Own Personal Development
Become an experienced user of Rapid Response, Excel, Power BI, and other Planning Tools.
Learn industry standard Planning verbiage and processes.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma from an accredited institution
2 years of work experience in supply planning, demand planning, or other Supply Chain role
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Experience using Advanced Planning software tools
Consumer Packaged Goods experience
Experienced in setting priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to build strong relationships across the functions and levels
Demonstrated strong aptitude in analysis, root causes identification, and problem solving
Able to analyze data, draw reasonable conclusions, and formulate next steps
Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills
Exceptional communicator
Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations
