Overview
A growing manufacturing operation is seeking a hands-on finance professional to support plant-level accounting, cost control, and operational financial reporting. The position plays a key role in maintaining financial integrity, and supporting disciplined decision-making across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary financial resource for plant operations, providing insight into costs, spending trends, and operational performance
- Maintain accurate accounting for inventory, fixed assets, and related balance sheet accounts, including regular reconciliations
- Analyze manufacturing costs, spending patterns, and performance metrics; investigate variances and communicate findings to leadership
- Support the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and financial reviews tied to plant activity
- Assist with standard cost maintenance, product cost updates, and setup for new or changing production items
- Track capital investments and support financial oversight of equipment purchases and improvement projects
- Participate in annual planning and budgeting
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Prior experience supporting manufacturing, plant, or cost-focused accounting environments
- Working knowledge of inventory accounting, standard costing, and operational variance analysis
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to explain financial results to non-finance stakeholders
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across plant operations and corporate finance
