Summary:
Our award-winning client is seeking a Plant Engineering Manager to join their team. This highly visible leadership role is responsible for driving plant-wide engineering strategy, overseeing capital projects, and advancing technical capabilities across utilities, wastewater, and ammonia systems.
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this position offers strong career growth potential within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute 1–5 year capital investment plans in collaboration with Safety, Quality, Operations, Maintenance, and Finance teams
Lead and manage capital projects related to wastewater systems, utilities, and ammonia processes
Oversee plant utilities, including refrigeration, ammonia, nitrogen, steam, natural gas, and compressed air, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency
Provide technical leadership in automation, process improvement, and production design
Support plant and division initiatives by delivering engineering expertise and project guidance
Manage and develop the Utilities team to ensure high performance and regulatory compliance
Partner cross-functionally to drive improvements in safety, quality, sanitation, cost control, labor relations, and customer service
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., food, pharmaceutical, chemical, or petrochemical).
Proven experience managing capital projects involving utilities, wastewater, and/or ammonia systems.
