    Summary:

    Our award-winning client is seeking a Plant Engineering Manager to join their team. This is a highly visible, strategic leadership role with direct impact on plant performance, automation, and long-term growth. Reporting to the Plant Manager and serving as a key member of the senior leadership team, this role offers significant influence, ownership of major capital initiatives, and fast-track career advancement.


    The successful candidate will bring forward-thinking ideas, strong technical leadership, and a passion for continuous improvement to drive engineering excellence across the plant.


    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute 1–5 year capital plans in partnership with Safety, Quality, Operations, Maintenance, and Finance.

    • Lead multi-million-dollar capital projects focused on automation, safety, quality, cost reduction, production efficiency, and customer service.

    • Provide engineering leadership in automation and production design, driving innovative and proactive solutions.

    • Deliver technical and project support to plant operations to ensure reliability and performance.

    • Manage and optimize plant utilities systems, ensuring compliance and operational excellence across:

      • Refrigeration & Ammonia

      • Nitrogen

      • Steam

      • Natural Gas

      • Compressed Air

    • Champion continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and plant systems.


    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.

    • 8+ years of relevant engineering experience, including at least 3 years in food manufacturing.

    • Proven experience in capital strategy development and budget management for large-scale projects.

    • Strong ability to collaborate at the senior leadership level and contribute to innovation-focused discussions.

    • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
