Our client is seeking an experienced Plant Mechanic to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot a wide range of heavy industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the production and manufacturing of grain-based products by ensuring equipment is reliable, efficient, and compliant with safety standards.
Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on production and ancillary equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Operate shop equipment such as drill press, band saw, bench grinder , etc.
Perform fabrication and welding using arc-welding, wire welding, and flame cutting tools.
Maintain and update inventory logs.
Operate machinery such as forklifts, skid loaders, and front-end loaders.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems (including 480V wiring).
Welding and fabrication experience is essential.
Familiarity with single and three-phase motors is a plus.
Ability to use standard measuring tools such as micrometers, meters, and gauges.
Must be safety-conscious and follow all safety protocols.
Available for occasional overtime, weekend work, and emergency repairs.
