Job Description

We are conducting a confidential search for a Plant Manager to lead operations at a large, high-volume poultry manufacturing facility. This role has full responsibility for plant performance across production, maintenance, food safety, quality, and workforce leadership.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has already operated at scale in a poultry environment , including live kill and/or tray pack operations , and is comfortable leading in a union setting.

What You’ll Own

• End-to-end plant operations across multiple production shifts

• Leadership of a large, diverse workforce in a union environment

• Food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance

• Operational efficiency, cost control, and continuous improvement

• Capital improvement planning and execution

• Development of plant leadership, succession planning, and retention

• Review and reporting of plant performance, expenses, and efficiency metrics

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

• Proven leadership experience in poultry manufacturing

• Direct experience with live kill operations and/or tray pack

• Experience leading large, complex teams in a union environment

• Strong understanding of food safety and regulatory requirements

• Track record of driving operational improvements in high-volume facilities

Ideal Background

• 8+ years of experience in poultry or protein manufacturing

• 6+ years in plant or operations leadership roles

• Experience overseeing multi-shift operations

• Comfortable working in fast-paced, regulated environments
