    Assist the Director in planning, organizing, supervision, coordination, and control of the activities of the plant operations and maintenance functions which are necessary in maintaining the physical structures, HVAC, mechanical, electrical systems, utility systems and grounds of this facility in an operative and safe working condition.

    Participate in maintaining performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. Ensures competency of all staff.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing, medical gas, emergency power, and fire/life safety systems
    • Maintain compliance with DNV, CMS, NFPA, OSHA and Environment of Care standards
    • Support regulatory surveys, documentation, and corrective actions
    • Oversee preventive maintenance, CMMS/work orders, and vendors
    • Coordinate renovations and minor construction, including ICRA/ILSMs
    • Supervise facilities staff and prioritize daily work
    • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and respond to facility emergencies

    Qualifications:

    • 3-5 years facilities experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
    • 2+ years supervisory or lead experience preferred
    • Working knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements
    • Associate degree (AA) preferred or equivalent from two (2) year college or technical school; or 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
    • CHFM or FMP certification a plus

    This role requires after-hours availability and collaboration with clinical, infection prevention, IT, and leadership teams.
