Operations Manager

Job Summary:

The Operations Manager is of great significance to Plant Therapy. The purpose of this role is to effectively manage and deliver both short and long-term production goals and drive a high standard of safety and quality. A person in this position will lead a culture of continuous improvement by developing teams in multiple departments, on a rotation basis as part of a leadership development program.

Essential Functions:

Oversee multiple operations departments on a rotation basis. Departments include fulfillment, production, and Amazon departments.

Oversee staffing based off company needs that are aligned with budgets, customer experience, and people development.

Ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.

Ensure the working environment and people are following safety standards at all times.

Maintain the high standard of housekeeping and GMP at all times.

Ensure all products meet a high-quality standards.

Develop operations employees to ensure they have a clear understanding of the expectations of their role, and to identify skill gaps.

Provide cross training opportunities and development training

Meet and exceed KPI goals and implement ways to increase efficiencies.

Lead continuous improvement efforts and track results

Monitor and create Standard Work

Key Skills and Knowledge:

Strong interpersonal, written & oral communication skills.

Experience working in a cross-functional model.

Ability to work across teams, groups and functions and to build strong relationships.

Ability to empower others & delegate.

Ability to coach and mentor employees one-on-one or in a group setting.

Ability to take on multiple projects at the same time.

Strong leadership skills to manage teams.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma, or equivalent.

2+ years in a supervisory position required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field

5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

5S/Six Sigma Experience.
