    Job Summary:

    The position of Logistics Coordinator is of great significance to Plant Therapy. A person in this position will assist in coordinating tactical activities involved with procuring goods and servicesas assigned by Purchasing management. The Logistics Coordinator will be a professional, high-energy, self-motivated individual who can function in a team atmosphere and utilize strong analyticaland problem-solving skills. Must have the ability to prioritize and make sound decisions.

    Essential Functions:

    Provide administrative support to the Purchasing Department by assisting with maintenance of business transactions and purchasing documentation

    Accept and place orders for materials and non-inventory items (i.e. sample bottles, office supplies)

    Analyze and optimize logistical procedures

    Ensure purchase order confirmations are received from vendors

    Follow up with vendors to reconfirm pre-shipment samples are sent timely, ETA’s are on schedule and necessary documentation for shipment has been secured

    Work closely with brokers to ensure documents for entry are received timely

    Monitor shipment costs, timelines, and productivity

    Address and resolve shipment and inventory issues

    Liaise and negotiate with suppliers

    Assist Buyers with entry and maintenance of purchase orders for essential oils, chemicals and raw materials

    Develop and maintain internal and external working relationships to coordinate and communicate as needed

    Set up new vendors and new item numbers as needed

    Required Qualifications:

    High school diploma, or equivalent.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in business or related field

    2 years of relevant work experience

    Strong data entry skills – speed and accuracy, and demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
