About the Role:

JRK Steel Inc. is looking for a skilled Plasma Table Operator to join our team in Duluth, MN! This is a hands-on opportunity to work with cutting-edge metal fabrication equipment in a fast-paced, production-driven environment where your precision and craftsmanship truly matter.

Responsibilities:

Set up, operate, and monitor CNC plasma cutting tables to cut metal components to specification

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and cut sheets

Program or load cut files into plasma table software/CNC controls

Inspect finished parts for quality, dimensional accuracy, and clean cuts

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on plasma cutting equipment

Organize and stage raw material (steel plate, sheet metal) for efficient workflow

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with shop safety standards

Requirements:

Prior experience operating a CNC plasma cutting table or similar metal fabrication equipment

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders

Basic math skills including measurements and tolerances

Familiarity with steel grades, plate sizes, and material handling

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines

Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials as needed
