VACUUM FORMING MANAGER - THICK GAUGE SHEET

SUMMARY: Our client is a multi-location Vacuum forming / thermoforming of thick-gauge single-sheet polymer products.

They are looking for a hands-on manager with strong troubleshooting skills in thick-gauge thermoforming, and a team-based leadership acumen to be able to hire and manage the plant team.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The primary function of the Production Manager is to set up and manage all aspects of the thermoforming / Vacuum Forming facility.
• Hire and Manage Supervisors, QC, Maintenance, fabrication, assembly, shipping/receiving as needed.
• Efficient scheduling of all production for the entire plant.
• Material replenishment.
• Ensures that all supervisors are appropriately trained and that the supervisors appropriately train line workers.
• Manage the housekeeping such that the plant is are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Manage & participate in improvement initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS

• The Thermoforming Manager must have very strong technical skills in single-sheet, thick gauge thermoforming / vacuum forming.
• A strong understanding of single sheet processing equipment, and the ability to set up and run the equipment, as well as train the people you hire into the operation.
• Must have very strong thermoforming / vacuum forming troubleshooting skills, and the ability to train technicians as the business builds.
• A “take-charge” personality who can efficiently and effectively identify and solve problems and manage the growth and opportunity this company is experiencing.
