    Job Description

    NATIONAL SALES MANAGER – CUSTOM EXTRUSION – WORK FROM HOME

    TOTAL COMPENSATION IN THE $140-$200K RANGE.

    TO BE CONSIDERED: YOU MUST HAVE A BACKGROUND SELLING MOLDED OR EXTRUDED INDUSTRIAL PLASTIC PRODUCTS TO A VARIETY OF MARKETS INTERNATIONALLY, INTO MARKETS SUCH AS AUTOMOTIVE, APPLIANCE, AGRICULTURE, LAWN AND GARDEN, FURNITURE, ETC.

    IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL LEAD ALL SALES EFFORTS TO MULTIPLE COUNTRIES, AS WELL AS CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • THE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY IS SALES GROWTH, MANAGING SALES TEAMS IN SEVERAL COUNTRIES.

    • ESTABLISHES POLICIES, STRATEGIC DIRECTION FOR THE SALES TEAMS.

    • SET GOALS AND OBJECTIVES AND DRIVE THE PLAN TO OPTIMIZE SALES AND PROFITS.

    • MANAGE OUTSIDE SALES, INSIDE SALES, CUSTOMER SERVICE, PLANNING/FORECASTING, PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT, ENSURING ADEQUATE TRAINING.

    • DETERMINE STRATEGIES FOR PENETRATION INTO NEW MARKETS, BUDGET AND DEPLOY APPROPRIATE RESOURCES IN CONJUNCTION WITH EXECUTIVE TEAM.

    • BE AN AMBASSADOR OF THE COMPANY TO NEW ACCOUNTS AND AT INDUSTRY EVENTS/SHOWS.

    • OVERSEE PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT TEAM AND WORKS TO ENSURE CUSTOMER’S NEEDS ARE MET.

    • ANALYZE TRENDS IN THE MARKETPLACE, COMPETITORS AND THE INDUSTRY TO CREATE OVERALL MARKET STRATEGIES ON WHICH TO BASE BUSINESS DECISIONS.

    • ANALYZE SALES PERFORMANCE BY CUSTOMER AND PRODUCT LINE TO IDENTIFY SALES OPPORTUNITIES.

    • MANAGES KEY SALES INFORMATION AND SYSTEMATICALLY REPORTS IT TO THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS.

    • ACTIVELY PARTICIPATES AS A MEMBER OF THE EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT TEAM AND ADVISES THE TEAM ON ALL AREAS OF THE BUSINESS.

    REQUIREMENTS OF CANDIDATES:

    • A BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN BUSINESS OR RELATED FIELD, M.B.A. IS PREFERRED.

    • 10 YEARS OF SALES INTO INDUSTRIAL MOLDED OR EXTRUDED PLASTIC PRODUCTS, WITH STRONG RELATIONSHIPS IN THOSE AREAS.

    • A PROVEN TRACK RECORD AS A SALES LEADER WITH EXPERIENCE SETTING POLICIES AND PROCEDURES, AND PROVEN PERFORMANCE IN GROWING SALES AND IMPROVING PROFITS IN THE INDUSTRIAL PLASTICS PRODUCTS WORLD.

    • A WELL-ROUNDED AND TECHNICAL BACKGROUND TO BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND TECHNOLOGIES, TOOLING, AND THE ABILITY TO MANAGE NOT ONLY SALES, BUT THE OTHER MENTIONED DEPARTMENTS.

    • PROVEN SUCCESS AS A TEAM BUILDER, DEVELOPER AND MOTIVATOR OF PEOPLE.

    • ABLE TO ANALYZE AND INTERPRET FINANCIAL STATEMENTS, MARKET & TREND DATA.

    • EFFECTIVE IMPLEMENTER OF SALES STRATEGIES, BUSINESS PLANS, AND MARKETING CONCEPTS.

    • DISPLAYS A SENSE OF URGENCY, ABLE TO DISCERN PRIORITIES AND MAKE SOUND DECISIONS.

    • A TRACK RECORD OF ESTABLISHING ACCURATE ANNUAL SALES GOALS AND MEETING OR EXCEEDING THEM.

    • WILLING AND ABLE TO FREQUENTLY TRAVEL.

    • PREFER PRIOR P&L MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE, AND EXPERIENCE IN A MATRIX-STRUCTURE ORGANIZATION.
