Job Description

We are seeking a Wordpress Web Designer Developer to join our team! A multi-talented person who can think creatively, problem solve, and experiment with the latest trends in user interface design and development. The position is responsible for designing responsive Web Design for custom Wordpress theme development. Throughout the design and development lifecycle, you will work collaboratively with a design team, development team, product managers, marketers, writers, and executives. Skills: * Expertise in visual design and typography hierarchy * Expertise in responsive design with a mobile first approach * Ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadline constraints * Have good communication skills * Be extremely detail oriented * Capable of owning a project from beginning to end Responsibilities: * Perform all levels of the web design lifecycle: research, concepts, prototypes, UI & testing * Develop responsive and mobile friendly Wordpress themes and templates * Develop themes that are accessible and WCAG complaint * Develop custom themes in Shopify * Maintain HTML, CMS or eCommerce websites (Shopify, WooCommerce) * Adhere to web standards and maintain website optimization (content optimization, image optimization, etc.) for accessibility and usability * Perform additional web and graphic design duties as directed by supervisor * Assist Marketing team to strategize and optimize clients' digital marketing programs * Keep up-to-date on web developments and trends Qualifications: * At least three (3) years of experience at a digital marketing agency, web design agency, or related field * Must have relevant portfolio to demonstrate design and development skills * Bachelor's degree in Interface Design or related design field * Expertise in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe XD, etc.) * Thorough knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, or other related languages * Proficient with Wordpress CMS environment * Strong familiarity with Shopify and custom theme development in Liquid * Familiar with SEO, Google Analytics, a plus * Strong attention to detail Email your resumé , cover letter and a link to your portfolio .
