    Plast O Matic Inc. situated in northern NJ, is the performance leader in the development of plastic valves and controls for valves. We are seeking a dynamic Mechanical Engineer with at least 1 year in mechanical engineering environment and product design experience.

    Basic Job Function:

    As a Mechanical Engineer I on our R&D / Engineering team, you will design parts, assemblies, and fixtures for new and revised products under the supervision of a senior or lead engineer. You will also collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers in support of flow / control/ performance management per defined product goals.

    Responsibilities (but not limited):

    · Responsible for design, development, and analysis of technical products and systems under supervision of lead engineers.

    · Set experimental and performance tests of existing or new products (supervised).

    · Create or maintain records of all experimental or performance tests.

    · Create documentation of existing or new products.

    · Create or modify existing BOMs for new or custom products.

    · Review and release ECNs.

    · Apply basic engineering principles during assembly trials for evaluation and design feedback.

    · Help construct and debug prototypes as well as simple assembly fixtures.

    · Work with QA to build and maintain procedure library under ISO.

    · Work in a team environment to analyze requirements from the customer and develop customs solutions.

    · Follow all safety and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

    · Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

    · Familiarize with regulatory bodies of the valve industry.

    Qualifications

    · Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or related field.

    · Working knowledge on Solid Works or similar 3D modeling software.

    · Familiar with PDM environment.

    · Strong proficient in MS office suit and communication tools.

    · Excellent statistical data analysis and problem solving abilities.

    · Ability to use measuring devices and hand tools.

    · Basic experience with machining equipment preferable.

    · Knowledge of electric circuits or electronics a plus.

    · Effectively reports progress and problems through written or oral reports (Dashboard).

    · Teamwork attitude.

    · Strong innovation skills.

    · Eager to learn and be trained in new skills.

    · Flexibility /adaptability in a fast-paced & dynamic environment.
