  • Responsibilities

    Plate Mounter

    Pay: $19-20/hr.

    3rd Shift: Sun-Thu (11pm to 7am)

    Requirements:

    • Mechanically inclined and ability to read a tape measure to 1/16"
    • Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
    • Machine operating experience is helpful
    • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds intermittently
    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and use hands

    Job Details:

    • Mounting printing plates to cylinders or sleeves
      • Review quality of each plate being mounted for imperfections or defects.
    • Assuring plates are mounted in registration.
    • Prepare first sample sheet for Supervisor review.
    • Assist press department with plate repairs on the press.
    • Tearing down jobs on cylinders/sleeves and setting up next job.
    • Must meet any new task of job functions that may arise.
    • Must follow set up procedures for given mounter/proofer.
    • Meet all changing conditions in your environment.
    • Must assure that material produced is of highest quality for customer needs and specs outlined on order or with individual job classification specs.
    • Work in a team environment, giving more than you might think is expected from position.
    • Must meet daily goals that are set within a very close margin of other operators and crews on same machine.
    • Be self-motivated to complete task in timely manner.
    • Complete tasks in adequate time limits, as to meet press daily goal and schedule needs.
    • SOP’s may cover the area of (but are not limited to):
      • Employee Health & Safety
      • SQF (Safe Quality Food packager) and GMP (good manufacturing procedures) focused on eliminating contaminates in all packaging manufactured
