_BOOKKEEPER _
We are a small office team managing the books and processing payroll for 18 physical locations, and a handful of holding/parent companies.
SUMMARY OF YOUR POSITION:
You will assist in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments, while creating and analyzing financial reports, occasionally process accounts payable and receivable, and manage invoices and tax payments. We use Restaurant365 accounting software, but experience with any accounting software would be acceptable. Ultimately, your responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Approve Daily Sales Summaries for 15+ locations
- Match and enter daily bank activity for all accounts
- Approve daily invoices
- Complete tax forms when needed
- Effectively communicate with management and coworkers
- Process accounts receivable/payable
- Digital and physical filing of invoices and receipts
- Monthly TPT filing and payments
- Responds to requests and questions by management on regular basis
- Interact with staff, guests and vendors to research and resolve issues when needed
- Provides explanation for accounting related reports and functions
- Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements
SKILLS NEEDED
- Minimum 4-years experience in bookkeeper/accounting position, preferably in restaurant/food service environment
- Experience working with accounting software
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- Great customer service skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Self-motivated, dependable, trustworthy, and hard-working
- Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to develop strong relationships with owners, management and coworkers
- Exhibit solid business insight and problem solving skills
- Able to prioritize and multitask, deadline and detail-oriented, no-detail-is-too-small mind set
- Sense of humor is a plus
