Academic Year Internship Program Details
Program Dates: September 21, 2026 – April 23, 2027
Time Commitment: 16-24 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need. We will do our best to accommodate course schedules.
Format: Opportunities listed will require an intern to work from New York, NY.
Academic Year Recruitment Timeline

**Platform Distribution & Partnerships **(formerly Content Distribution) is a division of NBCUniversal's media group responsible for the distribution and monetization of the company’s multi-billion-dollar linear and streaming services portfolio to pay-tv providers, NBC broadcast affiliates, consumer technology platforms and devices, and consumer brands. A key revenue-generator, the division is comprised of content distribution, affiliate relations and strategic partnerships across NBC, Peacock, Bravo, Telemundo and various FAST channels.
Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to:
** Marketing**
The Intern’s primary function is to support the Partner Marketing Team in their efforts to develop innovative integrated marketing initiatives that secure distribution, drive distributor and NBCUniversal revenues and reinforces the value of the NBCUniversal portfolio with our distribution partners
Sales
NBCUniversal’s Platform Distribution & Partnerships division is responsible for negotiating and managing the distribution of NBCUniversal’s broadcast and cable networks, the Peacock streaming service and Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV (FAST) channels. The Sales Team plays a pivotal role in securing and optimizing content distribution agreements with leading partners like Charter, Roku, FuboTV and LG that the intern will get exposure to. The Platform Distribution & Partnerships Sales team intern will get an opportunity to learn about the strategic and operational aspects of media distribution. This includes how network distribution contracts are structured and the day-to-day partnership work. Also, the intern will be contributing to overall account support and compiling Peacock and FAST channel data reports across various platforms.

Partner Operations
The Partner Operations Intern will be part of the Platform Distribution & Partnerships team. The Partner Ops team is tasked with leading the department’s live, on-demand content experience across all platforms and working with internal stakeholders (e.g networks, DTC and ad sales). Department goals the role will support include supporting fulfillment of our content while ensuring contractual entitlements, compliance requirements and monetization strategies are met. The Bus Ops Intern will support the Specialist and Sr. Director to meet department main business objectives of driving innovation to build efficient and scalable workflows, and maximizing content and monetization opportunities
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
For further clarification, candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1) are not eligible to apply unless they will be able to change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship.

Desired Characteristics:
The hourly rate for student interns is $19.00.
The hourly rate for graduate student interns for (Partner Operations) is $25.00.
