    Job Description

    NBC4 is seeking a Platform Manager (Newscast Producer) who will be responsible for producing newscasts, breaking news and special events across all the station’s linear and online platforms.

    We are looking for a rockstar producer who is full of ideas and creativity who can take a show or a project from pitch to production. Do you love breaking news, digging deeper into the big story and writing compelling teases? If so, we are looking for you!

    • Maintain editorial standards aligned with the “4 You” brand (fairness, accuracy, balance) including playing an active role in the editorial process
    • Produce assigned daily newscasts, breaking news, and special projects across linear and digital platforms
    • Lead creative production and writing, including compelling teases and headline-driven storytelling
    • Partner with content producers to select, shape, and sequence the most relevant stories
    • Collaborate with anchors, directors, and the production team to deliver smooth, seamless newscasts
    • Coordinate with Daypart and Platform Managers to ensure complete local coverage across platforms
    • Work with the digital team to integrate social/mobile content and advocate for station digital platforms
    • Write, produce, desktop edit, and gather content as needed across platforms
    • Coach, mentor, and help support a pool of content producers as needed
    • Produce content for special projects assigned
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications

    • Minimum 5 years of experience producing a high-quality, daily newscast under tight deadlines in a major market
    • Must be willing and able to work weekends, holidays and varying shifts as assigned and when necessary to meet operational demands
    • Strong experience with writing, producing, and desktop editing including systems like Dalet and Adobe Premiere
    • Proficiency in newsroom production software and broadcast technology

    Eligibility Requirements

    • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
    • Must be 18 years or greater.
    • Must have a valid driver's license

    Additional Requirements:

    Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.

    This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
