Job Description

Platinum Performance is looking for a talented freelance email designer to create a range of marketing emails. This position will work as a vital individual hands-on contributor and valued team member, creating emails that showcase the visual identity, beautiful custom photography and digital assets of a leading animal health brand.

The ideal candidate for this contract-based position has a proven record of designing and building out creative, high-converting HTML email communications and working collaboratively with design, marketing, ecommerce and front-end dev teams. This role encompasses both design, build out and QA of emails. The position is remote, and will require reliable, high speed internet access.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the main designer in creating email campaigns
• Manage both email design and build out, working on multiple deadline projects at once
• Perform photo editing / retouching / color–correcting for email, Web and social media channels
• Ensure all designs are properly optimized and meet brand standards
• Develop fresh design solutions that leverage functionality to optimize engagement and user experience
• Complete additional digital and print graphic design and production projects including flyers, product labels, social media ads, Website design updates

Qualifications

• Degree in Design, Visual Arts, Digital Design or related field and strong aesthetic point of view
• Three or more years of experience working as an email/digital designer
• UI/UX design experience creating digital designs for high-end, design-centric brands from concept to execution
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator,)
• HTML/CSS experience
• Understanding of Web browser capabilities and interaction design
• Experience creating designs for templated, dynamic email campaigns and segmented customer journeys
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Commerce Cloud experience a plus
• Experience with Bootstrap and Liquid a plus
• Ability to think creatively, communicate ideas, collaborate, self-manage and meet deadlines, working with multiple teams. Experience with Jira project management a plus
• Exceptional attention to detail and a flexible, problem-solving approach are highly valued
• Love of horses, dogs and cats a plus!
