    Job Description

    OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITON

    Responsible for managing all SEO (search engine optimization), and PPC (pay per click), and activities such as Platinum Pools internet content strategy, increasing the number of quality inbound links to webpage by continual improvement of keyword search strategy to increase rankings on all major internet search engines (Google, Bing, etc.).

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop and build Platinum Pools SEO content activities on all sites
    • Develop and publish SEO-rich content for Platinum Pools branded website
    • Optimizing copy and landing pages for search engine optimization
    • Perform ongoing keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities
    • Research and develop industry specific content recommendations for SEO and PPC success
    • Work with Platinum Pools Marketing Representative and President to drive SEO content creation and content programming
    • Research and analyze competitor digital advertising strategies
    • Recommend and make changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords
    • Edit and re-write contributed content, as needed
    • Educate team members on best practices and be the subject matter expert and lead for: Blogs, Social Media, and Content Creation
    • Keep pace with search engine and PPC industry trends and developments
    • Proactively make strategic PPC campaign recommendations
    • Monitor campaign results, analyze key metrics, and optimize click-through and conversion rates
    • Work within annual budget and seek methods of lowering the cost per click while increasing the overall amount of leads (lower cost per lead)

    REQUIREMENTS

    • A four-year degree in Marketing, Journalism, English or another related field or equivalent experience.
    • 2-5 years of experience leading SEO activities, with good knowledge of search on Google, Bing and other search engines SEO strategy development and execution experience.
    • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
    • Ability to think creatively and identify and resolve problems.
    • Adaptability.
    • Expertise of Microsoft Office Products

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required.
    • This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand, as necessary.  
    • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. 
    • Involves sitting most of the time; walking and standing are occasional
    • Close visual acuity is needed for viewing computes, preparing, and/or analyzing data and figures, transcribing information, and reading

    POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

    This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break.  Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
