MARKETING AUTOMATION SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT NEEDED FOR A DIRECT PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITY WITH OUR CLIENT IN IRVINE, CA.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Enables partners in the divisional marketing teams to realize marketing goals through technology platforms and solutions.
- Using strong functional, business, and marketing expertise as well as technical proficiencies, identifies, evaluates, and designs systems and processes that meet marketing needs and requirements.
- Able to understand and synthesize requirements and bridge IT engineering and creative resources to deliver solutions that enable marketing teams to be successful.
- Maintain current platform operations, monitor integrations with business systems, deliver new functional improvements, owning solution roadmaps, and reporting on key performance indicators to stakeholders.
- Part technical and part marketing with a deep knowledge of marketing automation platforms like Salesforce MC, Acoustic, Pardot, and comfortable with marketing data and segmentation, for analysis and reporting on marketing initiatives.
- Production support, troubleshooting, QA, and deployment of marketing emails to support divisional marketing teams.
- Assist in building and deploying marketing campaigns such as omni-channel journey, email blasts, mobile app pushes, SMS communications, or other targeted marketing messaging and reporting on campaign performance.
- Platform Administrator for enterprise marketing automation platforms (Acoustic and Salesforce Marketing Cloud), and Email Builder Tool (Stensul)
- Build audiences, segments, and queries in marketing platforms using SQL and other in-platform tools and deploy emails.
- Design, configure, and maintain the marketing automation systems to power targeted and personalized communications at scale.
- Design, monitor, and maintain integrations with business systems working with IT resources responsible for each.
- Collaborate with other groups (marketing, operations, bi, infrastructure, security, and engineering) to contribute to the success of cross-functional projects and marketing initiatives.
- Translate business needs to technical specifications.
- Understand the underlying technical layer from a business systems perspective.
- Develop and maintain marketing automation platform technical documentation.
- Contribute to marketing campaign strategy by bringing a deep understanding of communication platforms, and consumer behavior data and analytics.
- Recommend when to use existing technology solutions or platforms, and lead in the build-out or acquisition of new solutions.
- Work with Business applications team related to the CRM integration and the next generation marketing data infrastructure such as a CDP.
- Recommend and implement audience segmentation strategies that incorporate available demographic and behavioral criteria from multiple sources within the marketing data ecosystem for efficient design and response.
- Drive marketing infrastructure and customization of the marketing automation platform including lead scoring, multi-touch drip nurture and broadcast emails, profiling, segmentation, workflows, and ROI reporting.
- Troubleshoot CRM errors, design and implement long-term solutions in accordance with existing requirements and roadmap.
- Build positive relationships with business partners and peers on other multi-functional teams such as Marketing, Operations, CRM, Call Center, Engineering and BI / Analytics.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree and 4- 6 years of professional work experience in marketing automation or email marketing.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud certification.
- Deep knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform data model, queries, technical configuration, and its use.
- Understand end-to-end marketing processes including campaign creation (email / web / social), lead generation, lead scoring, qualification, distribution, and conversion including closed loop reporting by demonstrating CRM technologies and data.
- Strong functional knowledge of marketing, demand generation, and lead management.
- Strong knowledge of privacy regulations affecting email marketing such as CANSPAM, GDPR, CCPA.
- Ability to think logically and critically when troubleshooting along with a desire to grow your technical skill set.
- Problem solving ability and consideration of process improvements.
- Experience with implementing and using a Customer Data Platform (CDP) a plus.
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS production for email as well as testing protocols for cross-client email communications.
- Proficient in SQL for SFMC audience queries.
- AMPscript in SFMC a plus.
- Knowledge of email protocols like SFTP, DKIM, and DMARC
- Knowledge of marketing tech tracking schemas like UTM, query string parameters, and tag deployment, 1st, and 3rd party cookies.
- Knowledge of database schemas, query languages, data cleansing, appending, and exporting.
