Job Description

Plexos Group, LLC is seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to be Field Interviewers to work in Harris County as part of a survey effort to collect data from households that will be used for federal grant programs associated with the Flood Control District. Interviewers will be required to locate sampled addresses and interview household members using a tablet computer as well as record each contact attempt with households identified for the survey. Interviewers are required to collect data primarily in person and will be required to use PPE items. Protecting the health and safety of our employees and survey participants is a top priority.

Basic Qualifications:

• Be 18 or older with the ability to enter binding confidentiality agreements to protect project information
• Have a High School diploma or GED
• Be able to complete necessary training
• Live in Harris County preferred zip codes of 77032 and 77396
• Be available to work during the data collection period which will be approximately 4 weeks from the start of the program.
• Be able to work 40 hours each week
• Be willing to travel locally for project work.
• Be able to meet the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations, which include: lifting and carrying equipment and materials; walking several blocks; and climbing a flight of stairs
• Have telephone service
• Have a reliable vehicle with insurance under your name
• Have a valid (current) driver’s license that is not under suspension.

Preferred Qualifications:

• In-person interviewing experience;
• Telephone interviewing experience;
• Experience working with the public;
• Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus.
• Able to communicate effectively with people from all walks of life and socio-economic groups;
• Able to establish and maintain a good rapport with study respondents;
• Comfortable working in unfamiliar locations, knocking on doors;
• Comfortable using a tablet
• Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented; and
• Able to work independently and in a team environment with little direct supervision.
