Goodpluck.com is on a mission to replace grocery store produce with local & sustainable farmers by making it easy and efficient for local farms to get seasonal, nutrient-dense produce into their communities.

We are a small (<10) fast moving team that are passionate about creating sustainable change in our food system and supporting the farms in our community. We value people who are customer-service driven, creative problem solvers and committed to improving every day.

DETAILS OF THE POSITION:

Goodpluck is looking for personable, customer-service individuals with an interest in local food and farms to help us pickup orders from local farmers, answer questions about Goodpluck, and enquire about produce and record changes in availability using our farmer's market shopper app. You should have good attention to detail, be comfortable striking up a conversation and reliable at recording purchases and managing change.

• Shifts (Available Now): Saturday 7am - 1 pm
• Shifts (Starting May 1): Tuesday 7am - 1pm, Wednesday 7am - 1pm
• Estimated earnings $20-25 per hour
• Quarterly performance based bonus
• Up to $1000/year in free local produce

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Visiting various farmers at farmers markets and farm stands
• Picking up and/or order produce from farms
• Making reasonable substitutions when certain produce is unavailable
• Learn about Goodpluck's brand and mission and answer questions from farms and customers
• Learn about and develop relationships with our farm partners
• Communicate any inventory or substitution changes to our team
• Deliver and properly store produce at our packing location
• Discuss strategy with management to best increase market sales through energetic sales methods and innovative strategies
• Represent Goodpluck to the best of your ability at all times

YOU HAVE:

• A desire to make an impact and make good food more accessible in Detroit
• Experience in customer-facing or brand ambassador roles, or are someone people just love to talk to!
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to travel to multiple locations per shift
• A keen attention to detail
• Basic knowledge of produce
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Ability to be on your feet for up to 6 hours at a time.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Valid U.S. driver's license and auto insurance.
• A reliable midsize vehicle (2005 or newer). E.g SUV, pickup or larger
• An Android (Running Android 10+) or iPhone (running iOS 15+) device with a reliable data connection
