Troubleshoot leaks and malfunctions, and perform repair work on plumbing fixtures such as toilets, sinks, urinals, water fountains, and outdoor fountains.
install rest room fixtures, water heaters, dishwashers, as well as other plumbing related appliances.
Clean out sewer lines and service sewer lift pumps.
Install, repair, and maintain piping fittings and fixtures involved in the distribution and use of water in City buildings.
Ability to read and comprehend related plans and blueprints.
Ability to climb and work off a ladder of up to 40’ in height.
Ability to work bend, crawl and work in cramped areas.
Ability to lift weight up to 100 lbs. such as pumps, sinks, toilets, tanks, etc.
Knowledge of backflow prevention devices. Knowledge of lift station control panel devices.
Ability to develop material and labor cost estimates on medium complex projects.
Ability to install, test, and repair backflow prevention devices.
All employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime when required to meet operational needs.
