    Our client, a prominent MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and Fire Protection Engineering consulting firm, is seeking a detail-oriented Plumbing Engineer with expertise in plumbing system design, construction documentation, and CAD/BIM drafting.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing accurate plumbing engineering drawings for commercial, healthcare, institutional, industrial, and mixed-use projects.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop detailed plumbing design drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit for commercial, institutional, healthcare, and industrial facilities.
    • Produce coordinated plumbing layouts, piping plans, riser diagrams, isometrics, schedules, and equipment details that support efficient project execution.
    • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, structural, architectural, and fire protection teams to deliver fully coordinated BIM models and construction packages.
    • Perform plumbing system calculations, fixture unit analysis, pipe sizing, water distribution, sanitary, storm drainage, natural gas, and specialty piping designs in accordance with applicable building codes.
    • Incorporate client comments, internal quality reviews, and engineering revisions while maintaining project schedules and documentation standards.
    • Support permitting and construction administration by responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and assisting with field coordination.

    Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of experience preparing plumbing engineering drawings within an MEP consulting environment.
    • Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
    • Experience developing BIM models and coordinating multidisciplinary building systems.
    • Strong understanding of IPC, UPC, NFPA, International Building Code, local plumbing codes, and applicable engineering standards.
    • Experience designing domestic water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, vent, natural gas, and specialty plumbing systems.
    • Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings while coordinating complex engineering projects.
    • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple project deadlines.
    • Knowledge of Bluebeam, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office is highly desirable.
