Trueline is seeking an HVAC/Plumbing Estimator to join their team in New Britain, CT. This estimator will focus on complex systems for hospitals, laboratories, and university buildings, including high-profile projects like those at Yale University.
**
What You'll Do as the HVAC/Plumbing Estimator:**
- Develop detailed estimates for HVAC and plumbing scopes across hospitals, labs, and academic facilities
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, and bid documents to prepare accurate material and labor takeoffs
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients during the preconstruction process
- Conduct site visits and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors for pricing
- Assist in value engineering and project phasing strategies
- Work as part of a close-knit preconstruction team supporting high-volume institutional work
**
Must-Haves as the HVAC/Plumbing Estimator:**
- At least 3 years of estimating experience in mechanical (HVAC and/or plumbing) construction
- Based within a 20-mile radius of New Britain, CT
- Strong work ethic and commitment to long-term career growth
- Familiarity with estimating software, takeoff tools, and Microsoft Excel

Nice-To-Haves as the HVAC/Plumbing Estimator:**
- 5–15 years of mechanical estimating experience
- Prior work with unionized field teams
- Experience estimating large institutional projects (e.g., hospitals, labs, university buildings)
