    Who We Are

Blue Mountain Mechanical is a leading mechanical contractor serving commercial and public sector clients across the Pacific Northwest. We deliver complex projects with a focus on safety, quality, and accountability.

    The Role

We’re hiring a mid- to senior-level Plumbing Project Estimator to lead estimating for large commercial and public works plumbing projects (plan/spec and design-build). This is for someone who can step in and produce accurate bids with minimal oversight.

    What You’ll Do

Prepare bids for commercial + public sector plumbing projects (often $1M+ scopes)

Review drawings/specs/addenda; define complete plumbing scope

Perform quantity takeoffs and build labor/material/equipment pricing

Solicit and level vendor/sub quotes; confirm scope compliance

Produce bid proposals (scope letters, inclusions/exclusions, assumptions)

Support design-build budgeting and iterative pricing as designs evolve

Partner with ops/PMs/field to confirm constructability, schedule, and risk

Maintain clean bid files for award and turnover

    What We’re Looking For

5+ years estimating commercial plumbing projects (public works strongly preferred)

Able to run the estimating process end-to-end and hit deadlines

Strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems and materials

    Experience with plan/spec and design-build

Proficient with estimating/takeoff tools and Excel (Bluebeam/QuoteSoft/FastPIPE a plus)

Ability to coordinate bids with sub-contractors and define clear scopes for work

Ability to work off SOWs with no plans or with a single picture

Willingness to expand skill set and assist with projects such as submittals, turn over

    Detail-oriented, organized, strong communicator

    Nice to Have

    Prevailing wage / Davis-Bacon exposure

Prior field background (foreman/journeyman) or PM partnership experience

    How to Apply
