About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Plumbing Project Manager / Operations Manager to oversee daily workflow, job completion, estimating, and bidding. This role is responsible for ensuring plumbing work is quoted accurately, priced profitably, scheduled efficiently, and completed to company standards.

You will act as the central hub between ownership, office staff, technicians, and customers—owning the job from estimate through completion.

Core Responsibilities

Operations & Workflow

Manage daily and weekly job schedules across multiple crews

Ensure all scheduled jobs are completed on time and documented properly

Coordinate closely with dispatch, scheduling, and office staff

Support technicians with troubleshooting, scope clarification, and field decisions

Reduce callbacks and warranty work through quality control

Track job progress, completion status, and outstanding items

Enforce workflow standards and technician accountability

Estimating & Job Bidding

Create plumbing estimates for service, repair, and project work

Prepare and submit competitive yet profitable job bids

Review scopes of work, plans, photos, and site conditions

Perform job costing and margin analysis before bid submission

Adjust pricing based on labor, material, difficulty, and risk

Coordinate with ownership on large or non-standard bids

Revise estimates based on change orders or field discoveries

Ensure estimates align with company pricing standards and margins

Financial & Performance Oversight

Track estimated vs actual labor and material costs

Identify pricing or workflow issues affecting profitability

Assist with monthly production and revenue reviews

Provide feedback to improve pricing accuracy and close rates

Required Experience & Skills

5+ years plumbing experience (residential, service, or light commercial)

Proven experience creating plumbing estimates and job bids

Strong understanding of plumbing labor, materials, and job costing

Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

Ability to manage multiple projects and crews simultaneously

Strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills

Familiarity with estimating and service software (ServiceTitan, Jobber, Housecall Pro, Excel, etc.)

Florida plumbing code knowledge

Valid driver’s license

Preferred (Not Required):

Journeyman or Master Plumbing License

Prior estimator or service manager experience
