Plumbing Technician Assistant – Scope of Work
The Plumbing Technician Assistant supports licensed plumbing technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial plumbing systems. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the plumbing trade while developing technical skills in a fast-paced, field-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist plumbing technicians with daily service calls, including diagnosing issues, preparing materials, and completing repairs or installations
Transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, both in company vehicles and on-site
Perform basic plumbing tasks under supervision, such as pipe cutting, fixture installation, and system testing
Follow all safety procedures and company protocols to ensure a safe work environment
Communicate effectively with team members and, when appropriate, with customers in a professional manner
Support inventory tracking and restocking of commonly used materials and supplies
Work Schedule: Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, start and end times may vary depending on daily job schedules, project demands, and occasional extended service calls.
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments (indoor/outdoor, confined spaces, etc.)
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Previous construction or plumbing experience is a plus, but not required
