    Job Summary

    The Plumbing Technician installs, assembles, and supports residential plumbing systems in modular home units during the manufacturing process. This position works in an indoor warehouse/plant environment and follows standardized production methods to ensure plumbing systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable plumbing codes and quality standards.

    This role focuses on new construction plumbing installation rather than field service or occupied-home repairs.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Install residential plumbing systems in modular home units according to production plans and work instructions
    • Measure, cut, assemble, and secure piping materials (PVC, PEX, copper, or other approved materials)
    • Install drains, vents, water supply lines, fixtures, tubs, showers, and related components
    • Perform basic pressure testing and visual inspections to verify proper installation
    • Read and follow basic blueprints, schematics, and layout markings
    • Identify and report installation issues or quality concerns to supervisors
    • Coordinate work with framing, electrical, HVAC, and finishing teams
    • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
    • Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety policies
    • Meet production timelines while maintaining quality and safety expectations
    • Perform other related duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations

    Required Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required
    • Plumbing experience or minimum 1 years of work experience are required.
    • On-the-job training will be provided based on demonstrated ability and performance
    • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
    • Basic math and measurement skills
    • Willingness to learn residential plumbing installation practices
    • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing or construction environment
    • Qualified applicants will be considered regardless of criminal history, consistent with Kansas law and business necessity

    Preferred

    • Familiarity with hand and power tools
    • Interest in plumbing, construction, or skilled trades

    Physical & Environmental Requirements

    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and reach throughout the workday
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
    • Ability to work indoors in a warehouse environment with noise, dust, moisture, and varying temperatures

    Work Schedule & Benefits

    • Full-time schedule, typically Monday-Friday from 7:00am-3:30pm.
    • Training schedule may require training in Oklahoma for up to 2 weeks and local training twice a week until 6:30pm.
    • Overtime may be required based on production needs.
    • Paid Time off after 90 days
