    The mission of Plummer Youth Promise is to set a standard of excellence that improves outcomes for young people in or at risk of entering state care by deeply engaging youth, families, and the systems that impact them to develop permanent family relationships, skills, and community connections.

    The Residential Clinician under the Supervision of the Clinical Director works with young people ages 13-21 in the Plummer Youth Promise Residential Programs located in Salem, MA. As an integral part of the Clinical Team, the Clinician works directly with youth and their families to comprehensively address their behavioral health needs.

    This is a 30 hour per week position that can be creatively integrated into a standard 40-hour work week between Monday-Friday. Evening hours may be required on an occasional basis in order to meet the needs of youth and families.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*

    Support the clinical director with the overall planning, implementation, delivery, and oversight of the clinical services provided by the program.

    Within 21 days of youth intake complete a series of assessment tools to assess substance abuse and trauma history to inform treatment planning

    Cohesively Collaborate with Social Workers, and Program Managers to communicate about a resident’s behavioral health needs and progress.

    Meet in-person with residents a minimum of one time per week and their parent/guardians where indicated. Meetings with parents/guardians may often occur in the family home.

    Effectively utilize Collaborative Problem Solving with residents and their families to address their emotional and behavioral health needs.

    Complete Collaborative Problem-Solving Assessments

    Execute Plan B conversations.

    Document all CPS activities in internal database.

    Actively participate in resident’s Large Team Meetings to report on behavioral health needs and progress.

    Coordinate and make any necessary behavioral health referrals on behalf of the resident and their parent/guardian.

    Remain in close and frequent contact with all external behavioral health providers for all residents of the program.

    While in the programs, arrange for any mobile crisis evaluations, as necessary.

    Document all interventions with progress notes in internal tracking database.

    Provide transportation for residents to and from family time, or outside behavioral health appointments when requested.

    Actively participate in staff and clinical meetings.

    Job Type: Part-time

    Pay: $48,750.00 per year
