    JOB DESCRIPTION

     

    Candidate will be responsible for production in multiple chemical processes. Activities include defining operating parameters, monitoring and optimizing the processes, and defining projects necessary for improvements.

     

    Responsibilities and duties include:

    Performs a variety of engineering assignments typically in areas of analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, and execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems.

    Provides support and instructions to operators and manufacturing technicians.

    Receives assistance and instruction on unusual or complex assignments and solutions.

    With oversight evaluates, selects and applies a variety of technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making adaptations and modifications.

    Researches and assesses best practices, proposing methods and improvements.

    Works on special projects, as directed.

    Performs other related duties and tasks, as required.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    ALL CANDIDATES MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY.

     

    • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemical Engineering Technology completed by start date plus 0-2 years of relevant work experience. Candidates with an advanced degree and/or experience may be considered for a higher level position.

    • Strong technical problem-solving abilities
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills

     

    THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS ARE DESIRED AND WILL BE USED TO DIFFERENTIATE ALL CANDIDATES WHO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION.

     

    • Previous internship/co-op experience in field of study
    • Lean Six Sigma training

    • Thorough knowledge of Corporate/Industry Safety standards;
    • Mass Supervisors License or equivalent (general knowledge of the local building code);
    • Working knowledge of CPM schedule;
    • Working knowledge of cost report and labor production report;
    • Thorough knowledge of corporate quality program;
    • Thorough knowledge of subcontract language;
    • Ability to work with and manage multiple people;
    • Excellent oral communication skills;
    • Basic computer knowledge.
