OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a hands-on Software Quality Assurance Engineer (QA) Lead to develop and execute exploratory, acceptance, integration and automated tests to ensure product quality and performance. We are also highly interested in a person that aligns with our company and team culture who can lead a growing team.

The QA Lead role plays an important part in our company’s product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure the software runs smoothly and meets both client and business needs, while maintaining a mindset of efficiency. Ultimately, you should monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards with a DevSecTestOps mentality. If you have an engineering background and enjoy testing a product end-to-end, creating solutions to software quality problems and like different challenges thrown at you day to day - we’d like to meet you.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback

·         Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases

·         Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities

·         Design, develop and execute automation scripts using JavaScript or Python or similar technology

·         Familiar with ETL testing tools and best practices

·         Knowledge and Use of automation frameworks like Selenium, Detox, Cypress.io, Appium etc.

·         Identify, record, and track bugs

·         Perform thorough regression testing (and know when to automate regression tests)

·         Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements

·         Have experience or knowledge of the following technologies in the following tech stack:  React, GraphQL, AWS, Git

·         Track quality assurance metrics, like defect velocity and open defect counts

·         Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies

REQUIREMENTS:

·         Proven work experience in software quality assurance

·         Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes

·         Strong experience in Mobile App Automation testing

·         Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases by working with product team members

·         Hands-on experience with both white box, grey box and black box testing

·         Hands-on experience strategically choosing and implementing automated testing tools

·         Hands-on experience with API testing tools

·         Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting

·         Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

·         Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus

·         Experience with DevOps, GitHub, Git Repos, and CI/CD is a plus

·         BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject or applicable work experience is required.
