    Job Description

    THE POSITION:

    The LOA works alongside designated Mortgage Loan Officers in a productive environment. This position involves supporting a team in the Loan Origination and Operations process as well as performing daily administrative tasks in a timely, complete and accurate fashion, per the companys policies, procedures, and expectations.

    REQUIREMENTS

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide support to assigned MLO or respective team members, and/or as assigned by LOA Manager
    • Accurately review applicants credit history, identify any credit derogatory items prior to initial loan disclosures
    • Accurately review applicants income documentation (pay stubs, W2s, Award Letters, Tax Returns) and complete the income calculations worksheets prior to initial loan disclosures
    • Properly prepare files for submission to processing, completing the necessary tasks expected per LOA Submission Checklist
    • Request All necessary items from Escrow/Title
    • Meet with clients to complete necessary documents on an as need basis only
    • Call out loan approvals within 24 hours
    • Follow up with assigned clients at all times, keeping them informed of the loan process
    • Daily illustration of excellent customer service skills with clients and applicants to ensure client retention, promptly respond to client questions and concerns within 24 hours of request
    • Stay acquainted with assigned MLOs complete pipeline activity; must conduct consistent pipeline meetings with MLO and respective team
    • Follow up on loan file status with Operations and third parties, such as escrow and title companies
    • Ensure files move through processing and closing in a timely manner, within the files close of escrow and rate lock period
    • Other duties as assigned by management

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • At least 2 years of LOA, origination, or processing experience
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Encompass, and basic office equipment
    • At least two years of experience in the lending field preferred
    • Associates degree in a related field is preferred
    • Proficient organization skills; time management and ability to prioritize
    • Ability to learn quickly and effectively
    • Excellent listening skills
    • Advanced knowledge of loan products and process
    • Rapid decision-making abilities
    • Aptitude to work in a fast-paced and liquid environment
    • Expertise in pre-underwriting
    • Advanced knowledge of automated underwriting systems
    • Must have knowledge and understanding of TRID guidelines
    • Must be able to calculate income
