JOB PURPOSE
The LOA works alongside designated Mortgage Loan Officers in a productive environment. This
position involves supporting a team in the loan origination process as well as performing daily
administrative tasks in a timely, complete and accurate fashion.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform specific tasks assigned by the MLO
- Ensure files move through processing and closing in a timely manner
- Establish appointments with clients
- Meet with clients to complete necessary documents
- Make and retain copies of important documents
- Promptly respond to client’s questions and concerns
- Follow up with clients at all times, keeping them informed of the loan process.
- Accurately obtain and review applicant’s credit history
- Systematically store and maintain client data files
- Properly prepare files for submission to processing
- Daily illustration of excellent customer service skills with clients and applicants to ensure client retention
- Efficiently perform a variety of research duties in support of the company
- Stay acquainted with assigned MLO’s daily schedule
- Proficiently assist in the development of financial objectives in association with present data
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic office equipment
- At least two years of experience in the lending field preferred
- Associates degree in a related field is preferred
- Proficient organization skills; time management and ability to prioritize
- Ability to learn quickly and effectively
- Excellent listening skills
- Advanced knowledge of loan products and process
- Rapid decision making abilities
- Aptitude to work in a fast-paced and liquid environment
- Expertise in pre-underwriting
- Advanced knowledge of automated underwriting systems.
