    Job Overview

    The Marketing Coordination Intern will work as a part of the Marketing Team to help drive marketing success through varied activities across demand generation channels. This position will allow the intern to build experience and refine skills by providing a supportive, knowledgeable, and hands-on environment. The successful candidate will gain exposure to the growing government technology industry, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company, and working within a comprehensive marketing strategy.

    The intern will work alongside experienced marketing and creative professionals as they execute on marketing strategies and objectives. Responsibilities will include project tracking, planning, scheduling, data validation, draft writing, proofreading, and basic design-oriented support. Varied project assignments may include organizing and executing campaign tasks, in-person and virtual events, media and advertising, product and sales enablement, and email and direct mail strategies. The ideal candidate is prepared to work on a team in a fast-paced environment and is seeking broad experience in the field of marketing.

    This is a part time role that will involve working approximately 20 hours per week. Depending upon the candidate’s availability and performance, this position could become a 40 hours per week position during the summer. Ideally, the intern would live in the Middleton, WI area or Boulder, CO area so they could take on some in person tasks, but most of the work for this role will occur remotely. 

    Skills & Qualifications

    • Enrolled in a marketing degree program or similar field
    • Excellent computer skills including mastery of Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
    • Excellent oral, written, visual, and interpersonal communication abilities
    • Strong persuasive, analytical, and interpersonal skills
    • Collaborative and interested in working on a team
    • A strong and consistent phone presence
    • Organized, professional, energetic, and detail-oriented
    • Reliable, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines
    • Collaborative and capable of working with design teams
    • Comfortable contributing ideas and making decisions
    • Preference for some experience with basic design execution tools such as HubSpot, Canva, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and HTML/CSS

    Physical Requirements

    • Able to work at a computer and monitor for extended periods of time
    • Able to operate and use a multi-line phone system
    • Able to operate and use a personal computer
