๐ต About the Role:
KENTECH Consulting Inc., a national leader in background investigations and public safety support services, is hiring for a Police Dispatch Analyst I to work onsite with the City of Dallas Police Department. This role is essential to ensuring the safety of officers and residents by efficiently handling emergency communications in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment.
Youโll receive and analyze emergency and non-emergency calls, coordinate police response via Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), and provide real-time updates to police field units.
๐ต Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate incoming 911 and non-emergency calls and assign appropriate police resources
Monitor police radio transmissions and dispatch officers using CAD and related systems
Maintain status updates for all patrol units in real time
Analyze incident response needs and coordinate with specialty units (K-9, SWAT, etc.)
Communicate critical updates clearly and concisely to ensure officer and public safety
Operate emergency communications systems and national law enforcement databases (NCIC/TCIC/CJIS)
Manage multiple high-priority calls under pressure with professionalism and focus
๐ต Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
4+ years in high-volume customer service/call center environment
2+ years in dispatch or emergency communication (public safety preferred)
Must pass an intensive background check and drug screen
Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
๐ต Licenses & Certifications (Required or Obtainable Within Probation):
Basic Telecommunicator License (TCOLE)
NCIC/TCIC/CJIS Certification
Emergency Police Dispatch Certificate
Expediter/Service Desk License
๐ก Note: The required CritiCall exam may only be taken twice within 12 months.

Strong knowledge of Dallas geography
Calm under pressure; excels in high-stress environments
Quick decision-making and judgment
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
Ability to de-escalate situations and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Proficient with mapping tools, CAD systems, and police radio equipment
Strong written and verbal communication
