Job Summary:
The Policy Administration Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting, optimizing, and enhancing National Farm Life’s policy administration systems. This role will develop in-depth knowledge of the company’s current policy administration platform and play a key role in the evaluation, conversion, implementation, and ongoing support of a new policy administration system.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
· Assist team members with business applications and monitor and maintain systems going forward
· Assist team members in elicitation and refinement of business requirements and develop related processes and procedures
· Assist in translating business requirements to technical designs and specifications.
· Manage relationships with outside vendors
· Develop a project plan for training, product implementation and conversion
· Develop, execute, and document test plans during implementation of new products
· Create and maintain all standardized reports as requested
· Work with process owners and end users to ensure developed solutions meet required specifications
· Review and translate client business strategies and objectives into business requirements for new or enhanced functionality and design a systems approach
· Create, maintain, and enhance standardized and ad hoc reports using SQL, SSRS, Crystal Reports, and related tools
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent communication skills, including active listening
· Service-oriented, detail-oriented, good organizational skills
· Ability to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements with clarity and accuracy
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel
· Ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors
Education and Experience:
· 3–5 years of experience supporting business applications in a professional environment, preferably within the life insurance or financial services industry
· Bachelor’s Degree is highly preferred, or 5 equivalent years of relevant professional experience
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Schedule and Salary Range:
· Full-time position – non-exempt
· Monday through Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:45 p.m., Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
· Salary Range $50,000.00 - $75,000.00
