Policy Service/Customer Service Representative
Job Summary:
The Policy Service/Customer Service Representative will interact with the company’s customers by addressing inquiries and resolving concerns.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
· Respond to incoming calls, mail and e-mails from policyholders, field force and
home office staff
· Address topics including policy provisions; company procedures; requirements for processing policy changes, conversions, reinstatements, and exchanges
· Use knowledge of company products, policies, and procedures to handle policyholder complaints/problems and ensures that problems are resolved, and action steps are communicated clearly to the policyholder
· Process policy values, policy changes and death benefit claims
· Maintain customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent communication skills including active listening
· Service-oriented, detail-oriented, good organization…
· Basic computer skills with ability to learn new software
· Good math aptitude
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Customer service experience required
· Fluent in English and Spanish, a plus
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Schedule and Salary Range:
· Full-time position
· Monday through Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.
· Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
· Salary Range: $35,000 - $50,000 annually
